I. Am. So. Freaking. Excited.

So as many of you may know, I am a HUGE fan of the HP series. And when I say  huge, I mean huger than huge. The HUGEST.

And I am FREAKING OUT. Why? Because the best movie ever made is about the be released! Only 107 days... that's right my friends. July 15th!

But I have to admit that my feelings are slightly mixed on this matter... Because it is the end. And it may be a while before the next installment. But for now, I refuse to give up hope. JK will realize one day that we need more. And when that day comes, you can count on another blog post. Probably a big one. Because I will always love Harry (and Ron even more...).

So join me in the countdown for one of the greatest moments of any of our lives!

Disclaimer: yes, I do realize that this is only a movie. But you have to admit, it is pretty exciting!

And.....we're back!

Thanks to our new compy, I'm now able to access our blog again!

Sooooo exciting, I know.

And this time, no empty promises of regular blog posts. But to be honest, I don't even feel that bad. Because I'm pretty sure that I'm the only who ever reads this thing anyway. And maybe my mom (thanks mom!)

So for your viewing pleasure (and so I don't lose these great ideas...) here are some pictures, thanks to google, of little girl room designs. You see, Scott and I are preparing to buy our first home. Which opens the door to a whole new world in terms of design. This is both exciting and intimidating. But mostly exciting. And the room that I'm looking forward to most to design? You guessed it: Ellie's room! She's not old enough to have a real opinion, so that means pretty much carte blanche for me! I'm not so sure what direction I want to go in yet though. So if by some chance someone finds this blog (probably by accident..) feel free to weigh in on which design you like best. I'm not promising that I'll listen, but who knows? You may make the difference between Eloise-inspired-pink and French pastoral.

And if the budget were unlimited...

So anyway... have fun with those! I know I did. Right now I am really favoring the first one (blue walls, pink bed spread). But we'll see!

Reasons I love moving...

...NOT!!! I, like every other normal human being, absolutely hate moving and here is a list of a few of the top reasons:
1. Cleaning out the pantry. When you're preparing for a move, you start to realize that all that food in the pantry has to be eaten or thrown out. And you want to avoid buying new food which will enevetably end up in the trash. So you end up eating a can of tuna mixed with a dollop of mustard on some old club crackers for lunch. And dinner. And breakfast. And in case you were wondering, it tastes just as disgusting as it sounds.
2. Deep cleaning. Usually I'm a big fan of keeping our house very clean and (mostly) tidy. But during the last few weeks before a move, I undergo some sort of strange personality shift and all I want to do is let the dishes pile up in the sink and wait to see if the laundry has learned to fold itself yet. It's bad my friends, real bad. I kind of feel like I might qualify for one of those clean house intervention shows at this point. Which is why I am being super priductive and posting on the old blog instead of cleaning:)
3. Moving companies are awesome. This one is half positive because I am spared the lovely task of packing and loading and driving (hallelujah!) by the Palmer moving company. The less than stellar part of this situation is that the movers were unable to get us moved until after Scott's start date so I have to stay behind for a couple of days to make sure all the packing and loading goes smoothly. And then Ellie and I are super excited for another 6 hour flight to join Scott in Detroit. Lovely.
Well my friends, depending on how this week goes, my next post could be coming to you from our igloo in Michigan! Really, though, I'm excited to get all moved and settled. So until then, offers little prayer that I keep my sanity throughout this whole thing and have a good week.

Oh, hello Ipad

Have I ever told you how wonderful the in-laws are? my amazing mother-in-law and father-in-law not only produced the most awesome male specimen on the planet, but also surprised us with a life-saving Ipad. Yeah. They rock. So now you don't have to pine each month when I've let the blog lapse (like the Christmas pun???) because regular blog posts are about to be coming to a computer near you! So go ahead and build up the anticipation... It's going to be phenomenal. So now that I've set the bar and proclaimed my holiday rejoicings, I'll leave you all to celebrate the rest of your Christmas. And I'll go ahead and get all spiritual on you and say that I hope we can all remember our Savior on this special day. I know that my life has been changed by His influence and love and I hope yours has too.

AHHHH Oregon, you saved me.

So here's the deal.  Our computer at home decided to block our blog.  No one else's blog, just ours, so I really haven't been able to post until now, as I sit at my mom's computer in Oregon. You may be thinking, "but Stephanie, you never post anyway!" and my reply to that is "ok, yeah, but I'm making an effort now so just shut your pie hole."  But really, I am glad that I can at least clear the air on that one.

So here's a list of the things I would have posted had I been able to:
  • Halloween- so fun! Ellie's costume was pretty stinking cute
  • Andreasen's visit and Homecoming Spectacular- Ellie surprized us all with some exciting dance moves
  • Hieb's visit- so good to see grandma and grandpa again
  • Probably some other stuff that I can't think of right now
So if the fates smile upon us and we get a new computer in the next few months (please!) I might be able to post! Or maybe I'll have to man up and go on campus.  We'll see

The point is that I love you all, and happy Thanksgiving, and probably Merry Christmas too for all we know!
